Almira Hart Lincoln Phelps was a 19th-century American scientist, educator, author, and editor. Her botany writings influenced more early women to be scientists. She was a younger sister of Emma Hart Willard and became a teacher in her sister’s Troy Female Seminary, where she remained for eight years.
